Joe Palmer’s roots in Meridian run deep. He is a third-generation resident Treasure Valley and was born and raised here. Joe and his wife Leslie have four children and seven grandchildren, most of whom also live in Meridian. After serving a mission when he was younger, Joe returned to the area, graduated from Boise State University and served in the Idaho National Guard. Joe and Leslie have owned and operated a small business here for 32 years. For the past 11 years Joe has been honored to serve as State Representative in the Idaho Legislature, including eight years as the chairman of the transportation committee where he has championed the plan to complete the Highway 16 project.
